Happy New Year everyone,

One month down already and Casa Segura is full steam ahead. Well first I would like to give a HUGE thanks to Pauline and her work (Brisbane tax office) for donating the new kitchen. It has literally saved our lives here at Casa Segura. No more flies and bugs in the food, and with the freezer and fridges, microwave, deep fryer we can cook up just about anything (even pizza, yum). So thanks heaps guys.

Also this month we welcome our four new kiddies. Valeria 11, Elida 7, Jorge 8 and Jose who is 10. They are brothers and sisters from Guayara on the boarder of Brazil. Their Mother died and their Father is in prison.  So pray that their lives be changed greatly here at Casa.

School starts back this month, and as always its crazy crazy crazy. Getting 20 some kids organised with backpacks, books, uniforms and shoes etc can be a challenge. We have six kids going to high school in town this year, so GOD had to bless us with a new mini truck/bike thing to get to town and back. Our truck is still in the mechanics as it has been for a year now. Yes a year, waiting for parts. Our way of learning patients here in Bolivia. A year is nothing some people wait longer to get parts for their cars.

I also have just spent a week in La Paz escaping the rain, mud and mould of Riberalta. It was great to get some long needed rest and catch up with old time friends. La Paz is an amazing city nestled in a valley at 4000 meters above sea level. Apart from feeling like a fish out of water caused by lack of oxygen, its a great city cover by snow capped mountains and lots of things to do.

Well thats all the news for January, enjoy the pics. Remember  GOD is here amongst us, all we have to do is look around at the things HE has created. Ask and you shall receive.

GOD bless you all. Mik.
